    Help No sound from powered mixer

    Hi

    having some issues with my wifes powered mixer its a leem pm401d powered mixer used only couple times per month for gigs.

    the problem is its started to loose all sound, its random but becoming more frequent..couple times per gig

    a quick power off and on restores the sound to normal,but its no very good during a gig

    i had a look inside and cant see anything obvious no swollen caps it looks clean inside

    any ideas what could be going on

    i did think it might be overheating but its got a massive heatsink on the rear which is always cold.

    Strip it down and check the heatsink is making a good connection as it should be quite warm, it could of been knocked while being set up if it's moved regularly

    Also check your cables if you have cheep cables / bad connection the static/movement can cause the amp to go in to a safe mode also try different input ports as the first channel might be damaged/lose

    Check boards for dry solder joints... you never know... anything that looks dull etc I'd redo with an iron and some new cored solder..
