Off to Tallinn next month recommendations etc???

Off to Talinn next month for a few days and wondered if anyone had been there and got any recommendations on things to do, see and night-life to look for or avoid.We are going from a Thursday to a Sunday, only thing we have planned at the mo is a ferry to Helsinki for a day, it seemed to close to miss. Cant say I'm really into churches and art galleries but anything else goes.Any tips or tricks would be gratefully appreciated

You should have done it the other way around. The old town is the place to be, restaurants, pubs and nightlife. This all is very tiny though. Toompea is an old fortress which is worth checking out, all within walking distance from the harbor.
I've been there a good few times, and the scenario is always the same, drinking in the old town, nothing much more to do Because old town is where all the tourists go, this is also where the crime happens, so be alert as you would anywhere else you go in the world, and avoid situation where you might end up being alone.

Thanks for that mate, will be careful, always am. Yes I believe the old town is where it all happens. We are only there for 3 days so guess even if its small there will be enough to fill the days
