getting lots of the above when clicking from mail notifications. . . . .
Me too
Doesnt this mean you have been banned from a thread?
It seems that some are not formatting properly, some work ok, this one didn't

Are you both using an iPad/iPhone email app by any chance?
I've seen this myself a couple of times - usually with Gmail and always on iPhone/iPad you see.
It's always tended to sort itself out before I've had to look into it though, and in my case it was the way iOS was parsing the links.
It occasionally ends the link prematurely after the .php (as above) so it'd show the full link but only the first bit is clickable (and usually the only bit that is blue/a hyperlink).
Pain in the arse really but as I say, I've only ever seen it on iPad and iPhone.
Weird.
Mind you, never used an email client on a Mac. Never had a Mac!
Always OK in Thunderbird.
Is it Gmail mate?
IIIRC, Vbulletin will only send email out in plain text, so it's the client (Gmail web client/app, Thunderbird, Outlook etc) that creates the link upon opening.
I'm sure Gmail's linking problem last time was something to do with http and https.

Good point, I only have Mac Mail installed on my iMac and they are very closely related to the iPhone/iPad versions. I do use gmail but not for DF, it comes in on one of my own domains hosted on Servage. I'll take a look at my iPad and see whether any of those are dodgy.
It's very odd.
Have to say, I Googled pretty extensively this morning and only found a few mentions of it, despite experiencing it myself like you and Spraky.
I'm certain it's the client end though, with possibly something to do with the way .php/ is handled as the forum sends in plain text so there's no source to screw up.
It looks like it ignores everything after the extension including the trailing slash.
Another forum I get topic reply notifications from doesn't have .php/ in the URL and the iPad handles that fine. Weird it doesn't always happen though.
Where's Arthur C. Clarke when you need him..
Yep Safari and Mail combination on a Mac (Lion) here too, never happened before and only happens here in the last couple of days.
Plus as above, some work fine, the ones that don't the link is cut short after the ........php.
