HTC Desire C arrives in UK for £13 a month
NUMERICALLY NAMED MOBILE NETWORK
Three has started selling HTC's cheap and cheerful Desire C handset, beating rival mobile operators to the punch.
Three is offering the
HTC Desire C in its stores for free on a budget £13 a month contract with 100 minutes, 5,000 texts and 250MB of monthly data. It's also available to pick up for £149.99 on pay as you go, saving you £162 compared to a 24 month contract, when bought with a £15 top-up.
Three's pricing is much cheaper than that of competing networks, as Orange and T-Mobile have priced the
Desire C handset at £169.99 on pay as you go.
It might be cheap, but the HTC Desire C has arrived running the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), paired with the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. There's also an Iphone-sized 3.5in touchscreen, although it's not quite on a par with Apple's Retina Display with its HVGA resolution.
Other specifications include a 600MHz processor, integrated Beats Audio software, a 5MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front camera, 4GB of internal storage plus microSD support and HSDPA and WiFi connectivity. µ
