    Question ripping from game Disk to Hard drive via PC not Wii

    As in topic is it possible to rip wii backup game disks to external drive

    I am using WBFS manger 3 but it only seems to support isos? do i have to read every disk as an iso or is there an easier way

    tried to google but it always says use the console to rip the disk, which i don't want to do as there are quite a few to rip.

    If you want to rip a wii disk directly on a PC, then you need the specific LG drive that can read them.

    Why rip them? Surely you could just download them faster - even using the correct LG drive (there's only 3 models that could rip and they are all obsolete - even if you find one its going to be old and probably well thrashed) it rips slower than 1x speed so 2-3 hours per game on average

    http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/

    this does the job, not sure if there are better options now, I used this a year or so ago and it worked fine, ripped the majority of my DVD backups to a hdd and binned the disks.

    Thanks to {{909}}

    dont want to have to read each one in and then rip, was making it clear they was not originals, but already backups?

    cheers 909 - that was exactly what i was looking for

    Thanks to Fearless

    Sorry, I misread the original post...if they are backups already then of course you don't need the specific LG drive. Sorry about that confusion I added.
