    Wii U Wii-U £279.99, Pre- order

Shopto now have the wii-U for pre order at £279.85. Also a good few games to pre-order.

    http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=...UBA01&layout=0

So who is going to get a wii-U? I know I will, but I will be looking out for the bundles packages.

I personally dont want to get one as i know t will just become another dust collector just like the wii is in our house.

The only problem is im a sucker for mario games so probably will end up with one but will wait for the price to come down.

Put my preorder in for the black one, along with a few games. Can always cancel if there's some decent. Bundles at launch.

Nintendo land, New Super Mario Bros U and Pikmin 3 made it a no brainer for me. I also haven't got round to playing Arkham City yet, so will pick this up. Cannae wait...

not really bothered at the moment, always like a new mario game but since the wii i have just sits under the tv collecting dust i am going to wait for a significant price drop before i go ahead and buy one, a new luigi's mansion game would be nice and i know theirs one coming on the 3DS but dont wanna buy a 3DS just for that and not a fan of portable gaming anyway

i think the pre-order price is quite reasonable but just can't see the point in getting one, my 360 is keeping me well entertained and i have a PS3 that i have turned on twice (first time the game crashed after an hour) so have plenty to keep me going for the moment, i feel alot of people may take this stance since money is tight for most at the moment

And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

I'm gonna get one asap, but being a few miles away from home I may have to wait a little longer than I would usually. As long as it has mario, pikmin and something along the lines of wii sports, I'll be happy, 279 quid is nothing these days.
The thought of Mario Galaxy in HD makes my pants tighten, and at a week shy of 35, that's becoming a rarity.

I've got mine preordered, can't say I'm particulary excited about it tbh, 3-5 hours of power out of the controller is shocking and nothing at launch is really grabbing me, but I'm too much of a geek to pass on a new console.

Not bothering. Im hoping sony and ms decide to go for a thin client and use the existing hardware to access their own clouds. Makes sense to bypass a load of profit burning new hardware. Wii u looks extremely lacklustre.

Wii u makes me cold sold my wii before price drop. It's a shame I am a big Nintendo fanboy and bought snes, n64, GameCube, ds and wii. But the appeal has gone for me the magic seems to have died.

I'll be getting one, and I might even do so before its hacked.
Got loads of use out the Wii in our house. the kids are on it all the time, and I will often play with them.
Fuck the cloud, when you live in a internet not spot like I do, you want all your power at home.
    ZombiU looks great.
I think the 3-5 hours battery life on the controller is fine, it's got a screen on it so what do you expect? And I'd start to worry about myself if I wanted to play for any longer than 5 hours straight.

The hacking situation has never bothered me about Nintendo consoles, I agree with the idea that generally there are fewer AAA games on the Nintendo consoles, but there are enough to satisfy my needs as I have a life, so 3 or 4 decent games a year is enough. I am happy with my unhacked 3DS and in reality I have played maybe 20 or 30 DS games via my acekard, which would have been easily affordable as originals given I've had it 6 years or something.

Don't be fooled by the Zombie Game. The Trailer has probably just showed all of the Gameplay in one video...
I can see the swinging about of the huge controller been tedious after a while.

I hope I am wrong, but for me I think it is officially time I bowed out of the console buying business.. I have my 360 and I struggle to play on that for more than 1 hour at a time. If it was not for the new Trials Game I would not play it at all.

I hope someone I know gets one so I can have a play, but that will be it for me.

only just seen hat Zombi U movie thanks to my VPN not working properly and it does look impressive, the game itself is probably going to suck but the ideas for the use of the screen are excellent. It does have a Red Steel sort of feel to it though, and we all know how that ended.

Much like the Wii and wiimote.
Clear to see the software houses will be releasing more adults titles on the Wii-U though.

I cannot get excited by any of that...

However if the WiiUMote has a browser so I can watch Extremetube.com in private (with no cookies or History) then I would consider paying £279 for something I normally do on my iPhone or iPad....
