Vita - Who has one/buying one?

Hi,

Compared with the last round of handhelds there seems to be very little enthusiasm for the Vita.

The launch titles that Game and the likes are advertising are just as woeful as the 3DS was.

I doubt it will hold above �200 for long - Toys R Us are listing it at �214.99 unit only and the "pre order bonus" Game/Gamestation offer is hardly much to worry over.

Thoughts?

The launch lineup is 100% better than the 3DS was imho. Just wait until you play unchartered or MvC3 on it, then you'll be a convert.

Yeah ol' Drake is a given. I don't recall seeing MvC3 as a pre-order option in Game?

Is there going to be more than they are listing atm ?

I've no idea what's out at UK Launch, i'd be surprised if MvC isn't in there though, it's pretty much in English even my jap version so can't see them needing more time to translate it, it's a superb game.

But certainly at launch i'd be looking at getting (assuming they are launch titles)

Wipeout 2048
Modnation Racers
Motorstorm
Unchartered
MvC3
Super Stardust Delta

and get Gravity Rush off the PSN, that game is superb.

Shopto.net are showing MvC3 as being a launch title.

I can't see how anyone would think the PSVita doesn't have a strong launch lineup?

I'm going to nyc on 22nd Feb ill be picking one up there with ridge racer and uncharted with a 32gb card

Anything else you could recommend games wise?

Just had a look on Amazon and the likes - seems there is quite a few more titles set for launch that Game were advertisting.

Must admin, i got a bit bitter when i saw "reality fighters" hehe.

I'll be picking one up, not sure where from.

Just be careful with ridge racer mate, it's not a full game, you get 2 tracks, 5 cars and have to buy the rest from the PSN, personally i'd get motorstorm or modnation racers instead.

If you like fighters, get MvC3, it's such a great conversion, and looks as good as the 360 one.

Gravity Rush I believe is a PSN title only so get that downloaded day 1, great game.

I'd say wipeout as well, mine should ship from Japan next week and can't wait to play against ps3 on it.

It is a strong lineup, but, as with the PSP, its a line up of games that are (mostly) already out on Sonys main console.

They are still failing to give the PSP its own identity, although yet again they have a stellar version of hot shots golf lined up, which will probably get ignored, again.

Why give a handheld lots of unique features and then fail to do anything other than port 'big' games to it with some botched on extras?

After using my PSP for doorstop for the last 6 years after the initial excitement of being able to play a SNES emulator on it wore off, I deffo won't be getting a Vita. No point, I have a PS3 already and an iPhone for my portable gaming needs (don't laugh!).

Already paid for my preorder of the wifi unit, Uncharted, Little Deviants and Modnation Racers and a 16gb mem card. Picking up psn cards when I can to get my wallet up to enough to get Everybodys Golf, motor storm rc and escape plan on launch.

Very excited for it, and equally as pissed off to learn that Modnation has no head to head online play, which is just fucking stupid.

Will probably pick up Uncharted: Golden Abyss and FIFA 12 day one.

Over the next few months I will be looking at picking up Gravity Rush, Everybody's Golf and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus.

Just ordered mine, wipeout and Super Stardust Delta for me, and I might pick up a couple of psp games from the psn I never got round to playing.
Also excited to discover remote play on my Gundemonium Collection on the ps3, I'm all over that

I just bought super stardust off the us psn today, I love it. Looks like I'll have to buy wipeout again as my Jpn online pass won't activate on us store. I even bought the online pass and that won't work, so bet its version of game tied to region for online

I bought my ps3 to play wipeout and super stardust. Might as well be the same titles selling me the vita

There are a couple of psp games on the store I might pick up because I never got round to playing them on my psp as well. Namely Prinny and Prinny 2, although a bit gutted Dracula X Chronicles is absent.

I'm unsure weather to purchase one! If enough people off digi forums and play online aswell might get one ! Looks promising and it seems they ate actually baking the console it's self as no stupid umds! Also like you can use the men cards which the games are on to save games! FIFA and wipeout seem to have me wanting one and mvc3 ! Wipeout especially since I have it for ps3 and the wipeout fury will be available for free when it's out as dlc also I have the pool game which I will be able to download as free! Just hope they put games online for cheaper for downloads ! I would think they would with buying there own mem cards etc!
