the fact it comes to 999,999,99 makes me wonder if the final bid is legit, but that is one hell of a collection anyway. I am sure you could buy that lot and open a museum in a major city and make it profitable very quickly.

The final bid, I reckon was an 'off auction' offer.
I certainly agree that a collection that large sitting behind closed doors would be a waste!

it belongs to a guy from another forum i am on, its not even his complete collection, he has kept some of his other stuff
he hasn't said what he actually got for it and not sure he will
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

Def not the real final price, it could be higher and the system limit has been hit or more likely sold away from eBay and some kind of wrangle going on, apart from anything else it's just not worth that kind of money. . . .
    If at first you don't succeed.....redefine success. . . .

he hasn't mentioned what it went for (and i don't imagine he will either) but i reckon it will be done outside of ebay
and possibly they will cancel the sale

I don't blame him doing it outside of eBay. Imagine the fees on that

i was thinkin about this and it cant have sold for 1.2million dollars, theres 'only' 7000 games and many of them wouldn't be worth more than a few dollars, even taking into account the rare titles. Still jealous as fucking hell though.

i think the fact alot of them were factory sealed added alot to the price, people seem to go ape shit at the moment for sealed stuff
