    Photos Fly on leaf

This was one of two flies on the apple tree a short while ago, one flew, one hung on for one shot.

There was actually a thin gossamer strand crossing through this - completely dissecting the eye, so had to do some cloning to remove that, and it's a decent crop to get in closer.

    WDYT?

Excellent detail as usual mate but the image does appear to have suffered with JPEG compression and light seems a touch harsh. Mind you these little monsters aren't the easiest to shoot. They like sitting in bright sunlight and their eyes are so reflective of the light as well as parts of their face.

Dead right Ian - and there's a strong wind moving the tree around too forcing me to use flash....

hehe, I use flash all the time simply because I suck at macro hand held with no flash and a slower shutter speed . There's only so high I'll go on ISO, even on the 7D.
