Damn mate that's some bad luck, did you calibrate the compass before taking off? and do a full IMU calibration from the software?

I did check all settings via the assistant software and all checked out plus did a compass calibration and did a fly home test just in case.

What baffles me is when I first had it I went behind my house on a little patch of green and tried it and it dropped to the ground and yesterday it did the same, why no idea?

You went very high there. Sure you didn't go out of range? I'd have pulled back on the sticks to kill the props the first time it came down. It didn't look too bad of a splash - hope there's no damage.

For the vid, just import the fucker into Windows movie maker, add your fade in's/out's and save it as recommended. Upload to YT and it'll look bob on.

tha phantom can go about 3km without batting an eye so i dont think that was the problem.

I do have prop guards but not fitted them because they can cause problems but reading up on this and it maybe a battery fault when its under load the current drops and causes the drone to drop.

This has been known because the batteries get over charged and bulge.

If its the cause and the problem no ideas just reading on this on the DJIGuys forums.

Have you updated everything? Firmware, app, battery firmware, pc apps.
Which mode were you flying in, naza or vision, if naza which setting?
