Can finally join in this thread but only so far as a peasant entry level tosser.
Just ordered a Hubsan H107C with shitty on board VGA camera for £43 delivered. Purposely gone for a little model I can fly up and down inside our very long office until the weather gets better and my savings can stretch to a Phantom.

I'm also keen on pulling the thing apart and modding it maybe with an upgraded camera. A bit of interim fucking about in other words.

Those Hubsan's are ace, got my son one at Christmas, he loves it, had to get some proper guards though, he kept crashing the little thing

    Haha.. nice one.
I have picked up a guard as well as some extra batteries. A bit disappointed I didn't go for the 107D which has a better camera and can be further upgraded but thought stay low price wise first and see how it goes. They do look loads of fun though. My kids will probably commandeer the damn thing anyway!

    What are you getting mate?

I've just ordered a 107D with FPV from Bang Good - should have done it in the first place.
£95 delivered is a bit of a bargain. I'll sell the other on if it doesn't get purloined by the bin lids.

I'm tempted to get the FC40 myself but I would rather go to quadcopters uk and pay an extra £23 for it just for the peace of mind.

Sounds good to me. I'd not had chance to mooch about much yet. Too busy cancelling all the orders I've made for other quadcopters and guards/batteries..
Cheers for that though. Bang Good do get a load of good reviews but can't beat a UK for peace of mind.

Currently trying to find out the fundamental differences between the FC40 and the more expensive model other than the camera..

Edit: ordered one of these now. The third quad I've ordered in two days..

Fear: thread here with some chunky photos if you haven't seen it.

My brother got the fc40 a week or so ago, is basically a phantom 1 with a camera so a great piece of kit.

No manual in the box except for the camera. Quadcopters say this is usual.
Easily built, quick reference to the pdf and all done. No time to go out today (yet..) but damn near shat myself trying it indoors. These are fucking far from a toy! Haha...
