My understanding is the only difference is the cardboard box to help with shipping on the updated version!..?

He messaged me back saying that it was just the X5C, so he has changed the listing. Talk about false advertising. I cant seem to find it anywhere in the UK for under £80

Yeah I've seen that also. There's an x5c-1 on there for £53 but someone who had bought it said it's only the x5c.

I've just bought this bad boy, cx-10. Bit tricky to control at first but quite flyable in the house. Cats hate it though.

Do they call them nanocopters or something. They look fun.
I got one of the nippers a Hubsan X4 but after everyone nearly losing their eyesight I thought I'd put it away until they're a bit older...!

Not sure if they're nanocopters or not, just seen one on YouTube and when I noticed u can pick em up for a tenner thought it'd be worth a punt (although I somehow paid 20). Caught it a few times with the rotors going and doesn't really hurt but wouldn't fancy getting one in the eye. It has took a beating off walls etc but still going so it is quite robust. 10 mins to charge and about 5 mins flying.

That looks good. The price for a single quad of £520 in a 3 way split of the Swarm Pro looks appealing!

Better late than never, decided to get myself a drone for our upcoming hols in Tunisia next month
Initially I was thinking coupla hundred quid, but the more I read and watch on Youtube the more I am starting to realise that if you want quality you'll need to pay for it. So I am currently looking at two camera drone candidates in the £1k range (I don't have a GoPro)

    • DJI Phantom II Vision+ (v3.0)
    • Yuneec Typhoon Q500+

I love the looks, stability and camera quality of the Yuneec (which also make the Blade series Quads for Horizon Hobby), plus it has two unique features called 'follow me' and 'watch me' where it literally tracks you whilst you're playing footie with the kids or whatnot.

However the DJI is better known by the drone community and there are tons of mods + its a tad bit smaller so easier to cart around.

Is there anything else in that price bracket which I should be considering??
