Swansea City are close to completing a deal to sign striker Itay Shechter from Kaiserslautern on a season-long loan.

Shechter, a 25-year-old Israel international, was at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night to see Swansea beat Blackpool 4-2 in a friendly.
The deal will be concluded once Swansea have obtained a work permit for the striker, who has 13 caps.

Shechter signed a four-year deal with German side Kaiserslautern a year ago but struggled in his debut season.
He scored only three goals from 23 appearances, having arrived at the club with a prolific scoring record at Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Since taking over as Swansea manager, Michael Laudrup has so far signed defender Chico Flores, and midfielders Jonathan de Guzman and Michu.
And, after completing the deal for Shechter, Laudrup hopes to sign a winger as he continues his preparation for the start of the Premier League season.
"We are looking into a second signing," he said after beating Blackpool in his first home game in charge.
"We are talking to somebody but it's still in an early stage so we'll just have to wait. But one [player] will be here very, very soon."
