    Default Decrypting Hotbird Channels

    Hi Everyone,

Well, the free-to-air Italian channels are great...and I'm sure that the other 900+ channels that my new dish and receiver have picked up.

Many are encrypted...so how do I go about decrypting the encrypted Hotbird channels?

Does anyone have any recent experience of doing this?

    Thanks!

    Jimbo

So asking for help is spamming is it?

It's actually quite a simple question. Has anyone had any recent experience in having encrypted channels decrypted on the Hotbird satellite?

This can be broken down further for the more challenged among us:
    1. Has anybody recently subscribed to any of these channels (Italian specifically)?
    2. How do you go about doing it?
    3. Do you know roughly how much it costs?

If nobody can answer these questions...hell, at least I had a go at asking.

'Realist'? Really? Does everyone from Mars jump down the throat of someone posting a question that maybe hasn't posted 4,168 times?

Official cards are available m8...a search on Google will find outlets for them.

The days of hacks on hobbyist cards are over....the only way that these can be decrypted unofficially is via card sharing and this topic isnt allowed to be discussed on this forum.

How on Earth is that spamming, at worst it would be leeching or ill advised because of legal problems, a simple answer would suffice but spam?

Ok spamming was a wrong choice of words to choose but the OP was after Illegal answers that he's not going to get here on DF and that was my end result and if pointing this out to someone who's very first post here is wrong then I dont know what is right.

As for being a cock there are far worse offenders on here and has been for years.

    Regards

Wasn't his first post as he would have been banned if it was.

First post? He's not been prolific but joined in 2007 and 41 posts, if he was a first post leech one of us would have banned him.
Asking the question is not illegal, providing answers to illegal methods would be. He was answered by Nibb who clearly laid out the boundaries, nothing more was needed.

    Guys,

No harm done...I've learnt to ask questions more clearly and I've got a great response from Nibb and I now have a direction I can start to follow.

My second learning is that I need to spend more time on DF!

    Thanks everyone.
