    Info Roms

Hello people....I've finally finished building my cab but I'm so out of touch with mame now the Roms i've got are years old and not complete at all so I decided to start downloading a complete .145 set but its's 65 dvds and I don't even know if the whole 65 are up on the newsgroups so I have a couple of questions...

    1. Why the fuck is it 65 dvd's I thought the complete romset was only about 40gig

    2. I've seen someone on Ebay selling 35 dvds for £34 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ARCADE-FRO...item2a21cbf571 and was wondering if anyone thinks this would be the wiser option.

Last full set I bothered with was on about 11 DVD's, i think it's all the new games with CHD images and stuff take up loads of space, but they're also the kind of games I'm really not fussed about either, anything after 1992 isn't retro

    Thanks to _Belial

Yeah I agree, I noticed whilst extracting these that most of dvds are chd files...oh well i'm a quarter of the way there now so I think i'll just plod on with these 64 dvds just for the sake of it.

I just updated to a full set of 0.146 this week. It weighed in at 42Gb. That was with the artwork, but without CHDs.
I did download the CHD's for NFL Blitz, but my arcade pc didnt have a prayer of running it, and my 3Ghz Quad Q6600 also couldnt manage 100% speed on it.

where did you get those from m8 from the ones i've been getting they're in no particular order but it seems the majority of none chd roms are at the start and I can't find them so it's just pot luck what i'm downloading at the moment and I'm not really fussed about the chd ones as i'm on a core 2 duo in my cab.

It's nice to have all the roms, but I ended up deleting games I would never play.

    Got one DVD now.

he has a good selection of arcade and console stuff.

Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean
    the same thing?

Nice one I was looking at that site last night, if I can't download them I'll be getting them from there.

i have a ton of roms on my server if you want access to them?
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

Thanks for the offers lads I'll see how the ones I download go I've got loads of them now so seems a shame to abandon it, but if I can't get them all I may well be taking you up on your offers.

Once you get your 0.145 set, I am pretty sure when I searched for the 0.146 set I just got, I spotted a flood of just the roms that changed and were new on 0.146
Also don't forget to add the command line -autosave on your front end config....I had to do this to have hi score saving, and...most importantly....Track & Field world record saving !

    Thanks to tronads
