Nature's Own seem to have a near monopoly on these types of vitamins... doesn't that just make them an expensive new age fad?

You can also google 'Wholefood supplement' or 'Whole food supplements' to get the same kind of products. Nature's Own is at the top of the listings but if you look beyond the first 3 results you'll find many more. Having said that Nature's Own is a very reputable brand who do make very high quality food state supplements and I would recommend them. Other brands who offer these types of products are BioCare, Higher Nature (their true food range), Solgar, Viridian and Quest. These are all top quality brands.
It's also good to remember, not all supplements are made the same. Just as in any industry there are quality producers and then those who offer a cheaper alternative, such as the own label brands like Healthspan etc. and the cheap muck the pharma companies chuck out like Berocca.

I saw this review on Amazon:
When I received Berocca and read the list of ingredients I was shocked to see that aspartame and acesulfameK were listed. Vitamins, in optimal doses, are beneficial for the body, those two artifical sweeteners are not! I have sent them back.
If that's true you are probably doing more harm than good. Good luck.
No quite sure but I get tired around lunch time every day. Though I would give it a go after seeing the OP's post.
I've just bought these...

Any one on here had them? I've just bought a month's worth to see if they make any difference to my energy and concentration levels. I am changing my diet to a healthier plan and also going to kick off the P90X program.
Can now confirm it does turn your piss fluorescent yellow!
After reading the op i was in aldi they sell effervescent energise £1.90 for 20 so way cheaper than berocca and dont change your piss these tablets provide exactly the same rda with the exception the aldi ones show calcium 120mg = 25% rda not sure on ingredients the writing is so small even with glasses on im struggling

Jesus, you deserve what you get. Do you think spending less on these type of products gives you the same effect? Just because its cheaper doesn't make it better. Quite the opposite.
If it isn't turning your urine a bright yellow then the b vitamins simply aren't there.
I found this letter from Bayer, the makers of Berocca to a concerned consumer:
"Dear Mr Alexinscarborough
I refer to your recent enquiry regarding Berocca® (multivitamin). You asked if
Berocca
contains aspartame. I hope the following information is useful.
You may be interested to know that Berocca Effervescent Tablets (multivitamin)
and
Berocca Boost (multivitamin) contain the sweeteners aspartame and acesulfame K.
This information is printed on the packaging of Berocca Effervescent Tablets and
Berocca Boost Tablets under the heading `ingredients when ready to drink'.
As vitamins are naturally bitter sweeteners are added to make them more
palatable.
I can confirm that all the sweeteners used in Berocca are acceptable for use in
foods
according to the regulations set out by the Food Standards Agency (FSA)2 who
provide
the following information:
"As with all additives, sweeteners are thoroughly assessed for safety before
they are
permitted for use, and they are only then permitted to be used in a limited
range of
products.
The Food Standards Agency carries out work on sweeteners to ensure that their
presence in food does not compromise food safety."
With regard to a Berocca product that is free from sugar or sweeteners, I can
confirm
that Berocca Film Coated Tablets (multivitamin) do not contain sugar or
sweeteners.
Please note that this information refers to the UK only. If you live outside the
UK, we
would suggest that you contact your regional Bayer Consumer Care office or
alternatively discuss this matter with a Health Care Professional such as a
doctor or
pharmacist.
I hope this information is useful.

If you value your health I'd never take anything that contains aspartame.
The dangers of aspartame have been disproved. It's been heavily studied for many years.
The internet is full of conspiracy theories with no scientific basis though. Each to their own of course.
Well I bought a pack of the Aldi version to try one.
There shit !
To begin with they don't fiz up like Berocca and so take around 15 minutes to dissolve completely otherwise you end up swallowing a small chunk of the tablet.
Urine back to normal. No bright piss.
A nasty dry wheat like after taste and smell at the back of your nose for several hours after taking it.
These Aldi ones are going in bin!
sorry to hear that m8 but as i said i havnt tried them just saw price .....now we know why they are cheap lol
