I'll take at asking mate, please.
I already have one of these in the lounge and would love to upgrade from the A-110 we have in the kitchen that has it's limitations.

OK. This has arrived this afternoon.

My main concern is the unit doesn't power up at all.
Fuse is OK in the plug, power switch is on at the back same as my other one but there's no life at all.

While it was packed well, the 3.5" HDD unit inside wasn't fastened to anything at - just loose on it's cables so I expect it has been falling about inside the unit on it's journey.

Modcoms can you let me know your thoughts please.

Yeah, I'm cool with that mate, you can come and have a brew.

No, I've not done anything with it as yet. Only took the lid off really as I could hear there was something falling about and there were no screws holding the lid on

I'm off out right now, but will be back around 4ish and will give that a go then.

OK, done all that. Tried with HDMI in and out etc and nothing.
Just done a quick search on the NMT forum for dead C200's and there's a green mobo LED mentioned.
Obviously as the lid is off I can see the mobo - there is nothing lit on it, no hum from the power supply etc.
I have tried pressing the corner rest button on the board too.

I don't know if the loose HDD could have took out a component whilst in transit, but I fear this unit is dead.

    -Update.

Spoke with Modcoms earlier and arranged for him to call here and collect the unit.
Gutted for the pair of us.

However - I've been Googling like mad and found this thread which alerted me to a quick-blow fuse in the rear of the unit - actually sunk almost concealed in the rear power socket.
I've replaced this 2.5A fuse with the one out of my C200 and we're all up and running.
I'm guessing the HDD must have been lying on something when I powered up and the quick-blow has gone.
I've spoken to Modcoms again and we're both happy.
Top bloke, though I have to say. Was coming over here to put money in my hand no argument. Can't fault that.

    6 Thanks given to Zoots

    Really..
Guess it's good the quick-blow's go then.

I'm made up to fuck with this now. I've been using two A-110's alongside an exisitng C200 for a while now and they are good don't get me wrong, but the C200's are a different class and when they're all on the network you can watch any HD content on any TV.
The A-110 always struggled at streaming for me.
The RF remote's on them are a God send as well.

    Thanks to Zoots

Hmm. Might just leave it as it is to be on the safe side. Must have been a reason for it.
