can I find out who is hosting a website?

hi, is there a way to find out which webhost is hosting a site?
tried a few from google but not having much luck as yet..

put the url in here http://whois.domaintools.com/

That's simpler than the two step I was about to post, where you do a nslookup and then a whois on the IP addy.

and obviously for any linux users you can just do a whois from the terminal

whois digital-forums.com

If you want it to a file

whois digital-forums.com > filename.txt

thanks, that tells me who the site was registered with, but does that mean the site is hosted there too?
