new virgin customer wantng 100 meg broadband only

I am thinking of getting virgin 100 m broadband, i'm a bt engineer with 6m at home and need faster, infinity is not an option (not even in plans in blackburn yet). rang virgin and they want £34 a month +£49 installation . anybody know any other deals they have. I work at the virgin hub sites regularly ish and wondered if i waited to see one of the virgin engineers do they get family and friend packages like sky ? I rang virgin and they said free installation is not an option for broadband only. i dont sort of mind the £34 nbut dont fancy the £49 installation fee

i get tivo, phone & 100meg for 34quid. i also have 2 mobile phone @ 10 quid each a month for the kids.so if they want 34 a month just for bband thats steep.maybe if you take a package deal you may get free install.

I got the phone and 100mb off them, on a half price for 6mths deal.

Currently paying £24pm + phone calls, but having 100mb means I don't need any tv deal as I can use iPlayer/SkyGo/TVCatchup and grab anything else I need from the newsgroups el rapido!

How did you manage that deal? I rang last week to cancel a few items and they said mine would go upto £45 I am currently paying £39 for 60Meg, medium TV (Dont use) and Phone line (Dont use)

I had major trouble a few years back with them & the wife kicked up a big fuss & got great discount & its never gone up, i was on 50 meg at £34 with tivo & house phone.then got it doubled like every one els. when i was on 30 meg i only paid 21 quid with phone & basic tv package that was when i had the trouble,thay where over charging me by 15 quid a month for over a year they give me a refund for the over charge.hence the big discount. i have never pushed them over what they charge.hope they dont cotton on.lol
