not taking away from the families loss which is a tragedy but skys decision to broadcast the full funeral for all and sundry without a choice of being able to not watch it is the wrong decision imho

Police searching for April Jones have begun digging up paving stones at the home of Mark Bridger, the man being held over her abduction...

Obviously with the amount of time elapsed and news like this, starts to indicate she's gone

I wonder when we'll have a six page thread dedicated to just one of the hundreds of children killed during our illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

All this fake outpouring of outrage makes me fucking nauseous.

The article there says the mother wept uncontrollably into her hands. I watched this and didn't happen to see any tears. I may be mistaken though.

the kid really looks like the bloke accused of taking her, my theory is the mum has been having a fling with him and somthings happend, she looked like she was putting on the tears to me, plus where is the dad in the press conferance he was knowhere to be seen, the step grandfather was with the mother.

interesting to see how this story pans out, whatever though they still should have let her play out she is five years old ffs

Apparently the father is not very well and has a degenerative eye disease and can't take part in the searches or anything. They got married recently. But it has crossed my mind that she had been having a fling with the suspect and maybe called it off, hence him going off the rails and kidnapping her daughter. Makes you wonder because of how quickly they had a suspect, and i've read a few times the family pointed towards him early in the investigation.

The longer they hold him without charge shows to me how little evidence if any they have....

I remember when the police arrested a man called Stephen that lived near me for murdering all the pr0stitutes in Ipswich... they kept him for ages and got extension after extension from the local magistrates..
In the end they released him as all they had was circumstantial evidence and about 2 weeks later they found the real murderer...

I think when they hold people without charge for prolonged time they must be clutching at straws....

    Just me 2p.

By my understanding they leave any charges until the very last opportunity as they are not allowed to interview the person again after they have been charged.

You may be right.... Although I was re-interviewed several times after being charged once (charges were dropped) shame people just don't know their own rights I guess!

I'm glad someone else has thought that. I couldn't see any tears either. But... I'm still trying not to think that way.
The thought did cross my mind though, if it was me in that position I'd be screaming and covered in piss and snot..

They are saying that it's inappropriate for the public to be helping in the search now as I reckon they are expecting to find a body.
    If at first you don't succeed.....redefine success. . . .
