    Android TomTom for Android

Just seen that TomTom is out for Android now, has anyone tried it yet? Had a quick search for the APK but couldn't find it. Would quite like this as I hate it when I lose signal when I get diverted. Stolen from Engadget....

TomTom finally hits Android starting at $50, not ready for all devices (video)

By Steve Dent posted Oct 4th 2012 8:48AM

As TomTom promised, Android users can now be guided offline by the nav company -- unless you happen to own a Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Nexus or a handful of other recent, popularsmartphones or tabs. It said most models would be compatible by year's end, but if you do have one that works already, you'll get all the features that iOS users have enjoyed for quite a while: radar camera warnings (depending on your country), eco routes, contact navigation, free map updates and traffic guidance. The app is now available on Google Play starting at $50 for the US and Canada maps, an "introductory offer" that's 10 bucks cheaper than the same iOS version, so you might want to check the source before that price goes up -- if you've got the right device, of course. We're hoping to take a spin with the app soon, but meanwhile, you can check out a teaser video and the PR, after the break

Finally, only took them 18 months since they stated to me in an email that they plan to release it for Android in the next quarter!

The APK is all over the place now but so far only Ibera maps have been released from what I can see. Keep an eye on the thread over at mobilism.

Apparently, from what I have read elsewhere, it works on the S3. Just isn't supported, currently. If you install the APK, it should be fine.

Cant get this to run on Galaxy Nexus.
Can install the app, but as soon as I agree to the legal notice I get message
'Unfortunately Europe has stopped'. Thought it may be a cryptic message about the Euro, - but no, the app then closes.

Cant find any info whether its supported or not on Nexus running 4.1.1
