Wii Dance games up to much?

My better half has seen a PC based dance game in the local shopping centre thats basically the usual dance mat type game, have to admit after watching someone play it a while I was impressed how well the steps are timed to the music. Anyway, she wants one as part of her current get fit whim.

We have a wii and after doing some research, theres a load of games by Ubisoft derived from their initial Just Dance game (which apparently sucks), but they dont use the mat at all and just use a wii remote.

Has anyone given the games to their kids or tried em themselves?

I notice there is also a standard dance mat available for the wii, which seems to be just for a could of the traditional Konami titles, anyone know if they are also up to snuff?

My gf uses the zumba games sometimes..she seems happy enough..don't think mat is required tho..mind you our games are d/l onto hd so not cost if they're shit..
We also have the dance games but usually used at parties for kids to play with etc..

The kids have the Just Dance games on the Wii, and the Michael Jackson one.
To be fair they love them, and I've been know to partake after a few ales.
