Hi guys,
Do any of you know if there is anyway to image a Mac OSX HDD, like on the PC using Ghost or Acronis True Image, any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I made a recovery cd using acronis on my pc and booted this on a mate's mac (genuine mac with a c2d processor). If I choose sector by sector, it appeared to back it all up, but I never actually tried to restore it so I haven't got a clue if it actually works.
Iirc, I couldn't see the partitions which is why I had to use sector by sector mode.

Thanks, I think I need to do a little more research. I did read in earlier version of OSX you could use the disk utility so will take a look. Surely there must be some commercial or open source software which is capable of creating a image of a Mac drive, one of which you would be able to re-install .. I'll post what I find ..
Carbon Copy Cloner, it's now paid for but works quite well.
