WSOD - White screen of death - help?

Guys,

Anyone seen this before with an iPod Touch 4th Gen, I've replaced a cracked screen with a new digitiser etc, and when I switch it back on, all I get is a white screen. What should I look for?

iTunes still sees it, so I'm running a restore now, for what it's worth.

Any ideas in case this doesn't have any effect?

**edit** OK, restore was a waste of time.

btw I've tried the Home, Volume up and Power hold down thing, to no avail.

Just found this image, and I can't remember seeing one of these - I bet that's what it is. I've flung the old screen now.

What device are we talking about mate? Have you powered off then on? Often a screen won't turn on until a power off. The sponges on phones are usually numbered and I think are just there to hold the connector in place.

S**t, sorry - device would help... it's an iPod touch 4th gen. Yeah, it's had a hard reset and a restore. It's seen in iTunes, so all's not lost. Just been watching a Youtube video, gonna try that. If it works, I'll post the URL in in case it's useful for anyone else.

*edit** Youtube vid didn't help - I'll pull it all to bits again and check the LCD cable again underneath.

Bizarre, for some reason it's started talking to me, like "screen locked", etc. Is that a standard feature of IOS6 ?

*edit** I think I've enabled the screen over accessibility feature somehow...

Yes that's an accessibility feature, I accidentally made an iPad screen negative once during a repair. Reseating the cable may help, especially if the LCD was ok before.
