Wii Wii wiimote wont stay connected

Got a problem with my soft modded Wii.

The wiimote connects as the game loads from the HDD but then loses the connection and pressing the red buttons doesnt reconnect it!!

Anyone come across this issue before or know how to sort it??

    Cheers!!

Yeah that was going to be my next course of action.

Any one know the best method of soft modding now or has nothing changed??

Haven't used it for a while mate but I'm sure you back up the NAND as part of the modmii process

    I had this a lot.
I went into the proper system menu. Linked it from there.

Reset it and made sure I marked that WiiMote as Number 1. Always use that one in the future as player 1 and it should be fine.

I've updated both my Wii's today with the latest version of WiiFlow (Supports NTFS) and ModMii. Working a treat.

Re-softmodded last night and the bastard thing is still the same!!

The only way I can navigate the games on the USB HD via Config USB is with an old gamecube controller.

Once the game is started the wiimote works fine!!

You jinxed me! Mines doing it now.
Making a NAND backup and going to re-update back to the official 4.3E and resoft mod from scratch.

Just found out virginising your Wii after a Softmod is not good.
Hmm. Will try to update everything and report back.

    Right.
I have found a possible fix for this.
I have 4 Wiimotes and one seems to be marked as a 'Master' when in certain modes on the Wii. Hence perhaps why yours keeps switching off or jumping to Player 2.

Apparently - (I've not tested this yet - as I'm currently still Soft Modding - but makes sense), you need to de-sync all WiiMotes from the Wii completely and start afresh.

Boot up your Wii til you get the Press A button Health screen. DON'T press A.
Hold down the Red Button behind the SD Door on your Wii for 20 seconds. All WiiMotes should drop off your Wii.

Only a Wii Remote in Standard Mode can turn the Wii console power ON or OFF.

This would usually be the Master too.
Make sure all WiiMotes are OFF and won't sync automatically when switching on.

Open the SD Door, but DO NOT press the button yet. Press the button on your chosen 'Master' Wiimote.
While the lights are blinking, press and release the button under the SD Door.

This should now be your Master 'WiiMote' and the one you should stick to using in your USB Loader and as Player 1.
Sync the 'Slave' WiiMotes as normal.

Will be trying this after I've modded to confirm it works.

    --EDIT
^^^ Confirmed working. Do this ^^^

Not advisable. Tutorials explain high chance of bricking if you go back to official directly. Need to remove things first.

I went through the modmii tutorial and redone mine.

Open priiloader and enable the health screen. Definitely works.
