You're not far from Lymm SiE, if you want the burger to end all burgers, get yourself to The Church Green, AA restaurant of the year 2012. They do the best burger you will ever taste. Bar none. Go there then tell me that GBK is worth the money.

Almost famous is in a totally different class to those two. A quantum leap in quality . They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath

    Thanks to braymond

I will give it a go, lymm is pretty close to me. You got a postcode or a road name?

    Higher Lane, Lymm. WA13 0AP

The 10oz burger, topped with either the ox cheek or pulled pork are incredible.

    Thanks to si-amigo

    they are braymond.

the ox cheek one is 10oz of 85% chuck steak 15% bone marrow with a braised ox cheek on top, with a flat mushroom and 2 proper onion rings on it.

the pulled pork one is the same 10oz burger on the same ciabatta with pulled pork, bbq sauce and "Savoy" coleslaw (coleslaw with tiny apple pieces in it)

either will ruin you for any other burger i can almost guarantee it.

Went to Almost Famous Friday just gone, food was fantastic, certainly one of the tastiest burgers I've had.... bar staff were spot on, waitress was next to useless.

Also went to Grill on the Alley Saturday night, got the wagyu burger, personally I wouldn't recommend it. If your going to get wagyu go for the fillet (they'd ran out when we got there!).

Went to Southern 11 tonight with the missus before a gig. Great food and two decent waiters. The manageress is a right mard twat though but I'd been told to expect that. No welcome/goodbye and banged a bottle and glass on our table without a word. Miserable tart should get a job she likes. Rest of the staff were great though.
Missus had rib eye and I had Memphis rack ribs with bbq beans and sauce. Top grub. I had a couple of beers, she had wine and we both had desserts. Came to £52. Great price for two courses each plus drinks. Nice gaff as well and it was full enough for a Monday night. Wouldn't like to be eating in there though if it was fully booked. Bit cramped for my liking. Nice to be able to see the chefs and the service pass at work while you're waiting.
