If my memory serves me right, weren't those kids running away from a napalm attack?
I'm not offended, I think it's fucking funny.

I have always found the whole thing offensive on so many levels not least of which is the photographers gathered round like vultures being able to remove all humanity from there feelings and not trying to help.

Poor fuckers
I admit the original pic is and the way they were treated was horrid, but thought it was funny take on current things.
Also nothing was in the picture thread so didnt think to see if it was in the jimmy savile joke thread as it was a picture..

Well as I said on many levels not just the fact they didn't help, the use of such weapons on villages and the war itself which was yet another unjustified one but I do understand the point although when there is something you can do immediately that may save a life then I think the world can make do with a couple of pictures rather than a whole roll of film they can hand out awards for. All I can say we were so lucky to have Harrold Wilson in at the time to keep us out of that mess.
War Correspondants have always had to tread the line between letting us see what is going on and helping on an individual basis, not a choice I would be able to make.
MY dislike of this thread is much simpler, the pictures from Vietnam were the pretty much the first happening in real time and so had a major effect on me. THIS picture and the film/stills from which it was taken show children running from a Napalm attack with the skin falling from them. Using them for a cheap shot at a current news event crossed a line FOR ME.
