You do realise you put spannker and not spanner lol!!!

Used to get it quite bad about 10 years ago.... Get a soft rubber wrist rest support for keyboard use and lots of Cod liver oil tablets... helped me loads after a couple of months..

    Thanks to macmilm

its suprising how easily this shit comes on mate, we had redundancies at work last year and our delivery driver went as part of it, I was asked to do his duties and the extra driving took its tole on my right wrist, not sure is its classed under RSI but i was getting pins and needles in my wrist at night and horrible shooting pains when doing the simplest of things like tightening my belt. I had never had this before so went to see the doc and it was Carpol Tunnel syndrome, I was looking at steroid injections or surgery so opted to telling my employer I needed to stop driving for 6 weeks to see if the symptoms went away, low and behold they did. Its not nice and I would not wish it on anyone

    Thanks to lloydi

Jesus. I'll look into carpal tunnel syndrome. All I get is a clicking in my wrist when I move it. Theres no tingling in my fingers or anything, but there is a but of pain around the risk area, more so when lifting heavy objects / using tools etc.

Come to think about it, I have been playing a lot of Xbox while off duty, and using hand tools while on duty doesn't help. I'll maybe give it two weeks once I get home and if it doesn't get better ill go see the doctor

Look out for a Carpal Tunnel wrist support, can get some fairly cheap.
Used one in the past with anti-inflamatory (Ibuprofen is as good as any).
Wrong postion at desk using the mouse was cause of mine the quack reckoned.
Took some weeks to go but stopped eventually

    Thanks to rmj2663

There are some good wrist support/protection in a pack at decathlon, should imagine it is a lot cheaper than other support available - just a thought

sounds like tendinitis to me I had it a while back and and twisting would fucking kill and it was painful if i squeezed the part of the wrist between the wrist bone and my hand.Because I just left it for ages I must have over compensated with my other hand and so ended up with it in both...About 6 weeks of rest sorted it.

I've got 4 weeks of rest coming up so hopefully that should cure it. Just tried a compression bandage on it to immobilise it but that made it fucking worse, when in rotate my hand you can hear the bone "clicking"

Yeah when I was sent the hospital from work one of mine was clicking the doctor in there thought I had dislocated it at some point but I knew I hadn't as it was more of a build up of pain over time not just a sudden thing.
