Info Root, Unlock Bootloader And More On HTC One X+ With All-In-One Toolkit

HTC has had a pretty difficult year all told, but with the Windows Phone 8 duo in the 8X and 8S now making their way to market, and a recent licensing agreement reached with Apple, things are certainly looking up for the Taiwanese company. The HTC One X+ on Android offers an even beefier list of specs than the original One X released earlier this year, which wasn’t exactly underpowered in itself, and if you want to have even more fun with your One X+, you’ll be pleased to learn that the all-in-one toolkit has just been released for the device.

As with the toolkit of the Nexus 4, which released just six days ago, the toolkit for the One X+ provides most of what you could ever need when tinkering with your device. Not only is it great to have everything in one place, but for those trying to mod their Android’s firmware for the very first time, having an all-in-one solution on standby makes thing just that little bit easier.

If you have been waiting for such a toolkit to arrive, you’re in luck this holiday weekend, and thanks to XDA Developer member hasoon2000 – veteran of many an HTC toolkit – a wide variety of options are now available to all.

The HTC One X+ toolkit allows one to unlock the bootloader, install recoveries, flash ClockWorkMod, boot into recovery, boot into bootloader, and batch install .APK files, to name a few features. If you ever should wish to install HTC drivers, the toolkit provides an easy way for you to do that, too, and if you ever wanted to re-lock your bootloader say, for the purpose of sale, the toolkit has you covered for that particular eventuality, too.

The general response to the toolkit has been largely positive, suggesting most of the features work as they should. Such is the nature of modding firmware, that no tool of this kind can ever be 100 percent perfect, and it has emerged that for those running on Windows 8, the toolkit will not be able to install the device drivers. As well, those running the AT&T One X+ should steer clear for the time being, due to issues with bundled recovery.
