iTunes Match

Ok guys, I took the plunge and bought iTunes match.

I have a library of 90GB of music, just shy of 15,000 tracks. However, most were downloaded over the years and ripped from mates CDs etc. I spent around a week a year back ID3 tagging all my MP3s so now, within iTunes they sit in the right albums etc.

The quality varies, so thought it was going to be decent to get them all upgraded where possible to higher bitrate, also I wanted to replace the track names on some albums.

Some have the artist and track numbers in the track names itself, which I don't want.

So I've now bought it and left it running overnight, it did everything other than upload Artwork and remaining songs (going to parents for faster internet!)

Once I do this, does anyone know how I replace the albums with iTunes version from the iTunes library itself?

One of my mates said he had done this and i was thinking about trying it.

I also have GB's of music, well worth it to get it all "legit" and high bit rate from Apple.
I have Spotify at the moment which is great but Match is only £20 a year.....

be interested on how this compares to google play i found that a bit flaky when adding cd tracks from folders and then trying to sort, however quality and speed were great

The only thing that puts me off the iTunes one is the fact that it all involves iTunes and i have an Android phone.

google music is pretty good as and streaming wise on my nexus its great, only issue i had was tracks and artwork but was on all my cd folders rather than rips so sure it could be tidied up but not looked into enough

Once they have finished uploading, delete the tracks in iTunes. They will stay there with a cloud symbol next to them. Create a new playlist and add every track. Click the cloud symbol next to the playlist and they will all download.

Perfect just what I'm looking for mate. Now to find a public wifi with a bigger upload than my sky adsl
