Default "Popping" in certain part of my lower back.

    Afternoon all,

Anyone able to shed any light before I go see the docs.

Basically my lower back, on the right hand side I've had an issue with for around a year. One morning I woke up and felt slight pain in this side. I warmed up and then tried doing some stretches that morning, straight afterwards I felt a sharp pain in this area, and immediately fell to the floor.

I then spent 4 days in bed whilst this pain spread to my whole back and was ridiculously painful when moving at all. There was no pain or numbness in my lower legs.

After a few more days the pain receded, and left the original spot I woke up with a little sore. After a while that went away.

Now, every now and again I feel this spot go "tight" and if from a sitting position, I twist my back (swiveling at the hips) I can do something that can only be described as "popping" the area. Something clicks, but like a deep dull sound but it feels very blunt and almost like a popping sensation in this same area.

Now I've been going back to the gym, and this hasn't been causing a problem until September this year when I woke up and again the area was stiff, within 20 minutes it was like previous where it took over my whole lower back, again bedridden for a few days.

I'd put it down to some kind of trapped nerve possibly, and always thought after a few days it sorted its self out, so have not worried to much.

However now I tried to do some lower back work at the gym, the pain is instant, and I must stop doing back curls immediately, I can still perform this "popping" thing every few days, but generally unless I'm excessively stretching or doing any kind of weight it doesn't give me any problems.

This area of the back is shown below, but is on the other side.

Can't see the pic but it sounds like a slipped disc that never fully healed.

Go to Docs but unless there is a lot of pain or numbness chances are they won't do much. Other option is private x-ray/MRI and neurology consultant.

Or It could be very very bad AIDS

Fuck I knew using dets spare dildo was a bad idea.

It's a strange one as I can pinpoint the exact point in my back? Fucking weird.

    hi
i've had back probelms for about 30 yrs, since i was in my teen's
doctors always told me to bend this way bend that way, your alright just take some pain killers
i thought hes a doctor he must know,
about 4 yrs ago got them to send me to physio, she told me "you hae a trapped nerve because you have tight back" she gave me exercises to do, and i felt lots better,
had to go back to doctors at start of this year, saw a new doctor who said what do you want to do, I go back to physio please.
saw head physio this time, he listen to my tale, felt my back and hit the spot (i nearly busted into tears), he sent me for x-ray on my back
(waiting for xray staff's full report) but physio had a look my back is shot, the disc's are very think in lumber area and i have arthritis in the spine

get to doctors and tell them you need physio, to start with, and move on from there
told is once you get pain you think that is normal, its not

    Thanks to rusty
