    Info Naan Pizza ....

Found this online a few days ago and tried it/ Very tasty and filling :-)

    Ingredients

    • 1 Naan bread (shop bought) - I used garlic and coriander naan as opposed to a plain naan
    • 2 teaspoon(s) tomato pulp (chopped and sieved tomatoes from a jar - or other tomato sauce)
    • 70 gram(s) mushroom antipasto (drained (from a jar)
    • 75 gram(s) Fontina cheese (roughly chopped) - I used gouda cheese as the store didnt have any Fontina!
    • 3 sprig(s) thyme

    Method

    1. Preheat the oven to 220°C/gas mark 7. Lay the naan on a lined baking sheet.
    2. Spread the tomato pulp or sauce over the naan, then tumble the drained mushrooms on top and sprinkle with the chopped cheese, before finally strewing with the thyme leaves stripped from the stalks.
    3. Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes, by which time the cheese should be bubbling and melted.

Will definitely be making this again!

Made homemade pizza's for years now, even started making the base myself now but sometimes use naan's or pittas.
Also personally for the tomato base I like to use a jar/box of passata and simmer it with a couple of bay leaves, salt & pepper, garlic or any other herbs e.t.c in it for a while (then let cool before using)

    Far better than frozen shite!

    Thanks to macmilm

i make own base, i find Jamie Oliver Dough Basic A Doddle to make.
    this one
    http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/u...es/pizza-dough

    or
    http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/b...es/basic-pizza
i make enough for about 4 pizzas & freeze what i dont use

i have used wraps as base befor too but dont leave in the oven too long as it burns.
1 wrap as base, some tomato tinned chopped or passata with Mozzarella cooked Ham & chicken & peppers chopped
1 wrap on top, preheat oven coock for 5-8 mins but keep an eye on to see if the edges are going burnt.

i have been making homemade pizzas for a little bit now, but yeah i make the base from scratch, it is a bit time consuming as the dough needs to rest and rise over a couple of hours so its not an instant thing, but i think WELL worth it as the base is spot on

Anyone ever done two large tortillas, slowly dry fried with passata, pepper, and cheese in between so similar to a quesadilla. And use the quesadilla as the Pizza base, so tomato puree or passata on top, and cheese and topping etc.

    Amazing, can be healthy too!

About 6 or 7 years ago I had made a big old spaghetti bolognese !!! Lush !
The next day fancied a pizza but had all this left over spag bol... ended up making this pizza and the topping was spag bol (lots of cheese to stop the pasta burnin and going rock hard)

Was fookin lovely... sounds like a shit thing to do but honestly it was the bollox... still do it from time to time...
    Try it !
