REMOVE HDD FROM ANY POWER SUPPLY OR HOUSING

1st, Remove HDD lid move stuck head whilst spinning platters by hand as to avoid damage.....I'm not saying this is the best way but its worked many times for me, replace cover, spin up once done and lift as much data as poss, then bin/destroy/make coasters out of platters. make sure of a clean room/area. Don't do it in a room when the other half's hoovering ** And opening HDD = bye bye warranty **
2nd, Wap it in the freezer, honestly this has worked about 3 times in as many years...
3rd ,Smack it hard on something as hard, its amazing how many times this actually works. with minimal data loss.

Always backup, then when HDD goes down all the above is irrelevant. or invest in a shiny new SSD.

I'm teaching you lot to suck eggs (what the Fook does this mean anyway?)

My general luck is head failure so no methods can fix it other than transplanting the platters which isn't usually viable
