    Wii Wii U dead?

So it's been a month since anyone posted in here, is this system going down the pan already?

I ask the gamers I know if they know of anyone with one and the answers always "no", surely they need some killer titles soon?

I don't think I know anyone who even knows they exist never mind own one. They've not done much marketing.

    Default Wii U dead?

My mate bought one on release day with four controllers. We all gathered at his house to see what it was all about. Got to the main menu with all four controllers sync'd lovely, entered the game and only two worked so couldn't control two of the characters. Back to main menu and all four working again.

Spent about 2 hours trying to get it working and finally gave up. My mate hasn't played it since.

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

almost every console I have ever bought at launch has sat collecting dust for months until the real grade A titles come out. the only real exception was the wii and wii sports (well, bowling).
Due to my current situation I havnt bought the wiiU yet but will do so when the new mario game appears.

Wii u sales have been pretty miserable, expect the premium version to be under £200 soon. Things will get even more miserable for Nintendo when the next Xbox and Playstation come out this year.

There's talk that Iwata may fall onto his sword if Nintendo post another loss this year. Personally I think they've ballsed up, no one gives two shits about a screen in a controller and it's not had the take up they wanted. Come November they will be steamrollered into third place and Nintendo finally may start to give up on casual consoles and follow the other two.

    Default Wii U dead?

Not played mine since launch week, there's a real games drought, with nothing good on the horizon for ages either. Can't wait for a new mario and mario kart title though.

I have no doubt Nintendo will show some good stuff at e3, but it will be pushed aside with next gen footage.

Go back again next week, you'll probably see the same people trading them back in when they realise there is nothing to play.

The problem is it aint next gen. I know the wii was similar when it was released but at least the wii was an interesting concept. I wouldnt buy one of these even if it was £99. I just can t be arsed with it.

I traded in my xbox 360 to get one. and I dont intend getting it back. Kids love it, and i also get my time on it at night when they are in bed and the mrs can watch the TV as tend to prefer to play it on the pad.
I think the next gen consoles off playstation and microsoft are going to be the same shit, but with better graphics, that doesn't appeal to me.

Haven't played Zombie U , but NintendoLand is great , New super mario bros is alittle better than Wii version but sound and graphics are ace.

Batman is pretty much same as ps3/360 version .

Got ours on release day but I haven't played in months but little girl plays on it every weekend and seems to love it...

All in one box, haven't got to buy extras to pay online, eg: wifi adapter.
no subscription fee to play on line. Can get lovefilm or netflix. and different accounts for all the family.
Play in bed, ive even played it on the bog.
    Can use old wii equipment.
Miiverse, i often look at posts and pictures on there.
The pad is very robust, i have a heavy handed 4 year old and a clumsy 7 year old.
The pad controls the sky box and tv, Limited! but very handy.
If you like your Xbox controller the pro controller is great and has an 80 hour battery life.
I bought the mrs Zombi-u for xmas and she is to scared to play it.

finally, they are doing offers on old games, only costing 30p. I'm waiting for super metroid and punch out. 60p for those 2 games is awesome.

Mario gets a go every so often, just dance is there for parties (not played it personally) zombieU played for 20 minutes and batman is still in the wrapper. play mario kart on it more as well.

Checking for game releases all the time but not much happening.

never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups!
