Oscar Pistorius' Girlfriend 'Shot In Bathroom'

Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius is due in court, as local media report he shot his girlfriend four times through a bathroom door.

Lawyers for the athlete, who was being held at Boshkop police station in Pretoria, are expected to apply for bail at the hearing.
However, police have said that they will oppose the application.
The body of Miss Steenkamp, a top South African model, was discovered at the athlete's property in the Silver Woods gated community in eastern Pretoria on Thursday morning.

She had been shot four times. A 9mm pistol was found at the scene.
Local media has reported that she was shot through a bathroom door.
Pistorius spent the night in custody and was subject to blood-alcohol, DNA and other tests, as forensics experts continued to work at the crime scene at his home in an upmarket gated estate.
His lawyer Kenny Oldwage said his client was "very well, obviously emotional, but fine".
Police were called to Pistorius's home at around 4am on Thursday by neighbours who heard gunshots. He is the only suspect in the case.

Reading between the lines, she was supposed to have started filming on a new reality show shortly. I'm guessing he became all possessive and told her under no circumstances was she getting her herberts out on TV. She's probably told him to grow up, at which point he's exploded into an orgy of violence.

I read an article about this yesterday in some paper. The woman was shot 4 times in the head and once in the hand. Mr. Pistorius had tweeted a month or so ago, paraphrasing (no pun) "there's nothing like the feeling of thinking there's an intruder in your house, when in fact it was the fridge". So, somewhat paranoid.

She had already finished the filming for that and it starts being shown on TV tonight (in South Africa).. the TV company have said they will still go ahead and air the reality show FFS
