help with new ipad 4 purchase

missus has decided to order a 32gb ipad 4 (against my wishes)

the only apple device i own is a shitty old iphone 4 and i prefer android to ios

any tips to get me started for when the new ipad arrives?

currently i have a nexus 4 and nexus 7 , but the missus has a 4s, and the kids both have ipods


i think she wants to watch a lot of films on the ipad as she travels abroad a lot

will my mp4 yifi 720 downloads play fine or will they only take up a tiny bit of the screen?

what is the best way of watching movies on the ipad?

Get good player from the App Store plays mkv files fine.

i play all my movies via xbmc on my ipad3, but I stream rather than host them on the machine, I cant see that making any odds. I fucking hate having to jump through hoops to just copy a bastard file to the thing and the limited storage (mine is 16gig) is a royal pain too. 'it just works', my ass!

You can get the 1channel app for xbmc and I think most UK online tv services can be accessed too, so its a pretty good travel tv viewer.
