    Default Ebay knobber

    Another one...

I picked up an Apexi boost gauge gauge.

After a week i dont receive it so I chase. He gives me bull about he'll chase.

Then mid week I chase again and he tells me must be bank holiday and if i dont get it by monday he'll refund.

So i receive it today, special delivery posted yesterday. Clearly lying through his teeth. Then when I get it the illumination doesnt work as someone has bodged it with solder.

Also, at a guess, I think someone knew as there is is prise mark on the bezel, so someone tried peeling it back then decided not to.

Now for 20 quid I dont have the time or energy to fuck about and post it back etc - im up at 5am and dont get home til 8.30pm so i can do without the faff.

Do i just throw him bad feedback?

    What would you lot do?

Sellers can't neg any more. They can only leave positive or none at all.

    His reply

It never said it had the wiring for the back light also it does work with solder if it had a back light wire it would say it in the ad
    My message

Received the gauge, sent 05/04/13 by the look of the postage stamp.

The backlight doesn't work, which isn't a surprise judging by the look of the soldering bodge someone has attempted on the socket with the small pins, which are also shorted out.

By the look of the bezel, someone has also decided to try and prise it open and then maybe decided against it.

Its faulty and unless the faults were described then as far as you knew it was fully working. Stop fannying around and claim a refund. Its pri#ks like that who give ebay a bad name & they feed on people who cant be arsed getting refunds for low price items.

Yep, under the circumstances "not as described" claim a refund and keep all emails for the dispute. . .
