    Default exchanging euro to pound

I have 1812 euros left from holiday, ive got a buy back receipt to cover £1500 i had from first choice, will they buy only the 1500 back at the rate and then sting me for the other 312 at a poor rate?

also i have 2x 500 euro, and the rest mixed notes, will they exchange a 500 euro no quibble or is it too large?
im thinking along the lines of a £50 note, some shops get there ass in there hand and dont accept them...

ive googled about the 500 euro, and seems they are a security risk.. why would they still make them if they are, they are still largely in population more so eastern europe?

I've got receipts for 300 euros at 1:1.0923 from HSBC if they're of use?

local shop saying 1.25 (dunno what shes talking about, looks no where near the rate) - whatever it means, she said for my 1812 without my buy back its £1400 odd, the rate is pretty crap this weekend, so i might wait for a better deal, last week at the beginning of the week they reckon its been the highest its been all year....

ill let you know on the receipt mate!

there saying the 500 euros have to be sent off for security to amercian express which takes about a week, me being a smart ass thinking like james bond that is

Bit of a pisstake having to wait if you bought them from there in the first place.

What's the buyback rate that they've quoted as 1.25 sounds about right for the standard sell rate - todays buy rate is around 1.15

i didnt get the 500 euro notes from them, i got them from a bank account i cleared out in germany as i shut the account, wish i transferred the money, but either way you get screwed on the rate.

apprantley you will find it difficult to get 500 euro note from the local travel agencies, you are welcome to bring them to the uk and sell them back, but they have to be sent off to american express, spain wont touch these notes apprantley!

why have these notes in circulation then, its basically because i have a 500 euro note, im now part of an organized crime group and im trying to launder them.... ppppfffttt lol

its interesting as ive been on wiki, and all the notes apart from the 500 have this really lush uv colouring to them!
