Default is there a site to check car type etc?

hi, is there a site to check the actual model of a VW? I seem to remember a site for Fords where you put the reg in and it wold give you all the details on the car..looking on autotrader and some listings state SE or Sport etc but the car doesn't look like it has the same interiors etc..

is there one available to do this? had a quick google but didn't spot anything..

    cheers in advance

Suppose if you know the reg you could attempt to get an insurance quote where u put the reg in and it looks it up at the DVLA database?

There's a free iOS app called MyCarCheck that gives you basic details - if it's a VW and you really want to know everything just call 0800 083 3920 or 0800 333 666, give them the reg and they'll be able to list exact model plus every option it came out of the factory with. If the car has service history at VW then they can see every single visit and what work was done too - I used the numbers when I bought my current car. It was sold with just two services but on ringing VW it turned out it had already had all five services done in three years so just nipped into the missing dealer and they stamped the service book up for me

    Thanks to reverend

The best free one I've found is here https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/Ev...execut1on=e2s1

But they don't mention trim levels unfortunately.

Just asked my m8 with a garage if the online database he uses can show trim levels but it doesn't. Isn't the trim level code shown on the VIN plate? If it is then try a Google search on the code. (">

    Thanks to BigBird
