Need to find where someone works

Hi,


Friend on mine is renting a property and the tennent has decided not to pay the rent for the last 5 months.


Their trying to get them evicted but its taking a long time.


They have asked me to try and find out where they work. ( I dont want to get into a debate whether this is a good or bad idea, im just doing them a favour I owe)


I have,


Name, address, DOB, Hospital born in, and NI number.


Anyone have any idea on the best method to search for this??

As the landlord he can prove they legally owe him some brass... he can fill a form in to apply to find their employer based on there tax payed (via NI number).. it is part of the process for wanting to apply for attachment of earnings directly from the employer.. he can find out the employer and still not choose to go as far as AOE if he wants...
I think a chat with you local court will tell you.. I did it about 15 years ago but I know it can still be done.

The landlord would first need to obtain a County Court Judgment then apply to the Court for oral examination to establish where he works, how much income he has, the size of his feet etc at which point he could then apply for an attachment of earnings. If he doesn't turn up for the oral examination the court can issue a warrant, (they rarely do) and have him arrested subject to being able to prove personal service of the order for OE.

The only people who can look at the tax records to establish where someone works for the purposes of deducting money are the CSA or what ever the thugs are call these days.
