Wireless scales?! OK - Am I missing something here? What is it going to transmit wirelessly?

I think for me something like a RFID lock where it unlocks my front door when I get within 3 foot of it would be awesome. Carrying shopping and trying to jiggle the keys out of your pocket is a PITA

Withings wireless scales transmit your weight to your ipad app via your home network and you can track it over a period of time. Useful for lazy cunts like me who can't be armed remembering or jotting it down when I weigh myself first thing every morning.

Ahhh I see. Easy solution to that in my case.

    1. Stand on scale
    2. Look at readout
    3. Yes, still too fat

    lol

Some little extras round my house that make life a little more pleasant...in no particular order:

    • Sonos system with wired ceiling speakers
    • Remote ceiling fans
    • Rako remote lighting in living room
    • Logitech Harmony universal remote
    • Lakeland cling film dispenser (mundane but awesome)
    • Electric soap dispenser in kitchen is great when cooking or prepping food

how about transposing that information to your iPhone without the use of and wifi voodoo, just take phone out and take a pic of Scales whilst stood on them LMAO (I know you would rather the data so can graph it or something and a picture no goo for that)

I don't see point of electric soap dispenser, I understand that all the germs can breed on the plunger and go from hand to plunger and vice versa but surely you going wash your hands with the soap you dispensed therefor killing any germs picked up?

Agreed. However if I am prepping say raw chicken with my bare hands and I need to wash my hands I can get soap, turn on the tap with my elbow and avoid contact with any other surface until my hands are clean.

I think this would be great. I spend most of my time in the kitchen washing and re-washing my hands. The old McWash machines in McDonalds did it all without the need to touch anything. hands in, soap dispensed, water runs and dries. Why this sort of device has not been picked up on is beyond me.

For the scales - just wait until Google Glass comes into play. Integration of things like scales and stuff like that will mean that these small displays on devices may well become redundant.

Just got back from Amsterdam and the house I stayed in was unreal, he had home wizard which controlled all the lights and all sockets then a Logitech remote did all his tech/visuals/sound. Plus apple airplay so I could stream my music throughout the house! one touch and his screen/blinds lowered and PC fired up, press movie night and all front lights went off and kitchen dimmed etc... I love my tech and I was blown away, spent some time since looking at home automation homewizard.nl was my first port of call but it looks like its specifically for the euro market, it could be changed over but any pointers for UK systems would be appreciated

    Try Screwfix : http://www.screwfix.com/c/electrical...ion/cat4320011

Some not bad stuff there but it can work out expensive - depends how far you want to take it.
