Qashqai onboard SATNAV - can it be reprogrammed with TomTom?

I have just got one of these motors too and you are not wrong - total shite.

When did they start fitting Tom Tom? Got a qashqai tekna mid march new plate that still has the crap nissan maps

not to sure the unit itself looks the same and all the connectors are the same and still only take 57 secs to fit so i assume so. can ask when i get to work if i can get along to see the tec guy

Does it take an SD card? If so connect to a PC and let us know the root directory.

If it's a wince powered device then it should be able to run anything but would need to know how much memory is in there.

I would be really interested in this. My parents have both a Qashqai and a Note and I know they both hate the built-in sat nav.

If there is an about screen in the settings then it may display the OS, memory and processing power. That and the autorun or config.ini files from root would help.

all i was saying is that unless line stops dont have much time to walk half a mile and back to find out but will sometime and post on here .

trial models are been built for new note and new qashqai so it might have been on them . After 631 cars on my shift yeasterday it becomes a blur.

Pretty speedy tho as the rest of the line got to work at that too, we run at 84 Seconds but we are a substantial part supplier to a different car manufacturer ;-D

If you think the Qashqai Sat Nav is shite try the Audi crap on the RNS-E I've got Mrs has a Qashqai and the nav is way better

i do have a audi and thats why i have a tom tom standalone unit. audi is way worse than nissan
