Default Defy mini £39 in store at Tesco

Great phone for the cash. Ultra rugged. Doesn't pull up any trees performance wise but good as an entry smartphone

My local store had loads in stock and this has been confirmed by the HUKD tossers as nationwide

    Cheers,

    Malty

Worth noting that these are waterproof to

IP67 rating allowing the Defy Mini to be submerged in up to a metre of water for 30 minutes without failing

I may be wrong, but I quickly checked out a review just to see what this is about and found this

Still seems like a great deal for the cash - makes me regret buying a pile of shite ancient windows mobile thing for £30 when my G300 died.

Seems to be a few conflicting reviews regarding that? One review does show it under a tap however.

    *Edit*

Appears it is upto the IP67 Durability Spec, but not IP67 Certified..

    *Edit Edit*

Official spec sheet - 'Water resistant' - But I am sure it is better than most out there that are not.

Not good enough. I want a video of it in a 90cm of water for 25 mins

If I am shelling out £39 I want proof!

If only I was that good at photoshop.

It's not going to replace my iPhone 5 or anything but it's great as a second, reserve or "going out" phone when things are going to get messy :-)

I could do with a payg sim for it. Are there any that don't expire month to month ? Load with texts/mins data and they're good until you use them up.

I think O2 does? I have one in an emergency Samsung Choc Bar I have. Providing I make a call/text to/from every 3 months (its how I do it) then the Credit does not expire. This also allows me to have the O2 Priority Moments on my iPhone that is on Giff Gaff You get a lot of freebies in London.
Also If you just put credit on a Giff Gaff one?

I am going to Ibiza in August for a Stag Weekend... Not sure I want to take my iPhone so I will try and get one of these from my big Tesco at the weekend.

My local tesco "Extra" had maybe 100 yesterday. I saw them on the shelf behind the bloke when he got one out for me.

Got three Extra's near me. I will be passing at least two of them if not all three at some point this weekend so if they have any I will be grabbing one.
