How do you know it's unrelated?

Now all I thought they looked for is blood having done this a few times recently.

they do look for blood, but the presence of blood in the stools COULD be a sign of cancer, can only be diagnosed with a sig though. There is an immunochemical test that can identify the prssence of Ca DNA in the stool but its very hit and miss and is not used, or shouldnt be, as a definitive diagnostic tool.

Could be closer than you think, well not Hep B, but persistent change in colour of your stool to yellow/white can be a sign of liver problems, easily ruled out with a liver function blood test.

But it was only a few months ago. Who's to say it isn't related. The best thing to do, is if it doesn't clear up in a week, book in with the GP.

    Thanks to Geko

Stomach pain and a change in stool colour sounds like a gallstone issue. Seeing as I've just found out I have gallstones, I have done the research. I didn't actually have any pain, was having a CT scan for kidney stones when they noticed it.
