Default Re: The definitive BT Sports thread

OK, I started another thread about Youview in order to get the sport in HD.

If you are a current BT customer please read this:

I ended up calling them asking how I could view in HD. The rep aksed me how I would be watching, Sky, Freeview etc..
I answered with Freesat (HD) and Freeview.

She then mentioned to me that I could register now to get a viewing card for this format! This is something I have scoured their site for information on, especially after seeing on Freeview lately that BT Sport Channels are there...

Apologies if this has been mentioned in this thread before but I could never find this info on their site.

    *BUT*

This is important, in order to get the viewing card (which by the way will not be locked to your TV so you could take it to a mates), you must have at least 12 months on your current contract.
I am apparently just under so I am now waiting for a call back in order to discuss my options.

There is no doubt I will be sticking with BT for the foreseeable future so providing they charge me the same/less - give me a new Home Hub and give me a card for each TV (I cannot see that to be honest, I just hope it is compatible with both) then I am happy.

I say that if you are interested in getting a card for your Freeview/Freesat then call them now.

From what I have read this only works in BT Vision boxes. It will not work in Freeview TV's or Youview boxes.
