Selling Approx 1000 dance music vinyl and technics 1210's mk2

My wife is forcing me to have a clear out as we are moving house in a few months. She says "we are not moving your records again" - they've moved house 4 times in the last 6 years or so, and a 1000 records are quite heavy

    Genres:

    House (Many different sub-genres)
    Breaks
    Techno
    Hard House
    Hard Trance
    Trance (Many different sub-genres)
    Drum and Bass

Mostly the music is from the nineties and noughties, plenty of classic tunes, hands in the air tunes, big room tunes, etc that will get any party moving.

There's approx 1000 vinyl, comes with free vinyl brush, buyer must collect due to the weight (or I may be able to deliver if suitable location), £750.

Also for sale, pair of technics 1210's mk 2 (everything present), comes with a free slightly broken gemini ps-626 Pro 3 channel mixer (cross fader was a bit dodgy on one side, headphone socket only takes small jack) and cables.

Again buyer collect due to the weight (or I may be able to deliver if suitable location). £500

If you want to take both records and decks (I would prefer everything to go at the same time), you'll get a sherwood r-125rds amp + speakers suitable for home use for free

Payment by bank transfer prior to collection.

    Items are located J25 M25 / J3 A1(M) area

    Items are advertised elsewhere.

    /me sheds a tear...

    Another one bites the dust.

I'm in the process of moving now and not looking forward to the prospect of shifting my vinyl... It's in many places at the moment. When I get in my new place I will need to get a unit to put them all in, is the unit in the pic the one from Ikea? I want something like that, but with some sort of front cover, as my missus doesn't like the look of it all either. Without having a spare room or my own studio anymore im limited in choices. Selling the vinyl is not an option though

I would snap this up if I had the money to hand and the space...

I'll say a prayer for you later.

Great collection mate, shame you're selling it all! I had just over 100 dance vinyls left over from when I sold my 1210's a few years ago. I put them on ebay a couple weeks ago, expected to £60 at the minimum judging by other sales. I ended up getting £26 for the lot

Years from now I'm sure you will regret selling and start a quest to rebuild your collection. Why not save yourself some effort and just reduce your collection further and KEEP those Technics fella.

    Wise words moe, wise words.

I vowed to never sell my vinyl and intend to be burried with a 100 record box of my top 100 pieces of vinyl. That box is worth a fkin fortune. Dub plates and limited pressings etc.

I want a room like a record shop top myself!

Is there no family/friend you can pull on to store them within a loft of a garage?

As people say in years to come when you're winding down and appreciating things more, you'll miss them.

i had to do the same too, different circumstances but to be fair Vinyl takes up a lot of room to just keep for old times sake.

The value of vinyl is rock bottom now, its a good time to collect but a terrible time to sell. I ended up giving away my last 150 pieces for a tenner but as a small compensation the buyer was just some guy who was so fucking obsessed with buying tunes his wife had just left him.

I've 100+ of them big black cd's as my 8 year calls them in the attic and point black refuse to get rid, late 80's 90's it was my prime and life was mint.

there is no way id get rid of them, as when i do crack them out ive a smile from ear to ear.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”

Tough decision between selling that lot and getting rid of the wife lol. I look back to when I sold out over 10 years ago and literally gave away so many rare ealry 70's/80's hip hop and dance imports along with first pressings of Def Jam label etc. wish I'd kept it all now but they aren't light buggers to keep humping about.
