Was bought late last year if i remember rightly, can't remember where from though.

It will have manufacturer warranty, which is 3 years on HGST drives - http://www.hgst.com/internal-drives/all-travelstar

So it should have at least 2 years warranty remaining. If this is a deal breaker for you, i can open the box to verify for you if you are committed to buying?
