    Default Pioneer Plasma issue.

Mate of mine not having much luck. His Optical on his Sky Box has gone, now his Pioneer Plasma appears to be goosed!
    This is his problem.
Apparently the number and colour of the light flashing signifies the area of concern.
Mine is flashing twice red. I'm trying to find out what this could be but struggling.
    .
Will get the model number soon. It is pre-kuro I think.

    *EDIT*

Model is PDP 508XD so it is the one with built in AV Receiver.

What model sky box is it? The newer models can output audio over HDMI

Not sure on the model but he is sorting that with an engineer visit. He loaned a neighbours box for until then, but now his TV has gone pop it doesn't matter.

Wonder if it is all related...

I think the TV manual has some info on blink codes, usually in the Troubleshooting section?
Could be the PSU, most common issue with older Pioneers.

    Thanks to Bailey2345

Nothing in the User Manual... (Troublehooting starts at page 81)

Slightly different model, but I checked a few and they all say the same thing.

A very similar model's Service Manual... Clicky - Page 78
I'm betting Moisture sensor on the Y Drive Assembly.
