I'm currently an Xbox man, but they've really dug their own grave with this always on, can't lend games crap.
im really thinking a Wii U (after a new price drop) and stay with my 360 until they decide to drop support - however we shall see what happens in the first 6-12 months of being launched and see if any of the features i dont like are tweaked or removed
the main thing i realised is i dont want to upgrade - i love my current setup and for once i mostly know how to use the fucking thing
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
I've got a wii u! Very happy with it. So I won't be getting anything else. The corporate greed of MS & Sony has put me off buying their consoles. If u want to do the same on the other consoles as you do with the wii u, you will have to buy a vita or smart glass. That takes their console prices up over £600+.
Master system for me. Ha ha im not sure which ill get 50/50 at the mo might just wait the 360 out.
Xbox One for me, the exclusives just look a lot better especially Titanfall. Main selling points are the controller and games. the things people moan about personally wont be a problem for me as I am always connected and don't share games with friends.
IN all seriousness, I would have gone for a PS4 regardless of what MS showed at E3 this year, I have always been more into Japanese games and any FPS I want to play (which is usually halflife and portal etc) I'll play on my PC.
The WiiU will be first on my purchase list, I wont be buying more than a handful of games a year and I love Nintendo games so even a weak line up is good enough for me. I'll wait for any hardware bugs to surface before I buy into the Sony console, I have a PS3 phat and 2 hdmi 360s that I cant play without clenching my arse cheeks in fear theyre going to go at any second.
I've got deja vu

Will own both but will be getting xbox one first because:
1. The XB1 actually shows more of a generation leap and promise with M$ actually trying to advance the landscape whereas ps4 just seems an iterative improvement..'Playstation 3s' if you will.
2. I prefer the XB1 exclusives.
3. I value the entertainment side of things and M$ seem to be focused on improving the experience.
4. The online capability of being able to 'share' my collection and access my collection from other XB1's also appeals to me.
Generally whilst its been bit of a PR disaster for M$ at least they were somewhat upfront and honest about their plans and surprisingly attempted to explain the finer details of second hand games etc so early on whereas Sony took the sly approach of not revealing too much and generally bashing m$ even though they have pretty much the same stance and use typical marketing BS tactics to reveal potentially consumer angering news (e.g. online gaming will be subscription based) in the hope it will fly under the radar - basically taking consumers for mugs

Do typically prefer XBOX to PS3 but this time was genuinely thinking about getting PS4, but now that Microsoft has reverted it's decision on the always on thing I will probably get an XBOXONE. Not at launch tho.
There are 3 types of people in the world - those who make things happen, those who watch things happen; and those who wondered what happened.

Conservatives. Putting the 'N' into Cuts.
Probably pick up a PS4 first. But will end up getting both and hardly playing either. It's what I do every time.
xbox1 but not at launch
I've always been an xbox fanboy but thinking about jumping ship as microsoft seem to be changing their tune all too often, i have this bad feeling that microsoft will get their consoles sold then do as they like about pre-owned games and always online. Sony seem to be doing the right thing at the moment.
I know what you mean! They are changing their tune every five minutes... oh wait. just the once - and for the benefit of the gamers.
My bet is that they have some kind of opt-in scheme in the future. If they do then next gen gaming actually will be just around the corner - unlike the "fast gpu, faster cpu" that they are now giving us. We want something groundbreaking not a rehash of the current generation.

Don't know about you guys but i just want a next gen game console, not a multi media player or skype or social network, i just want a great gaming experience i've got all the gadgets that have these apps and programs built in and work perfect i.e. pc, mobile etc.
I think one reason the ps4 and Xbone have extra functionality is to justify the cost of the hardware. Another reason is that both Sony and Microsoft want to move things on. Games consoles haven't changed much since the original Xbox introduced true online gaming.
It seems Sony's big plan is social gaming with sharing and commenting. Both of these of course require an Internet connection (and I can almost guarantee for anything beyond sharing a screenshot will require PS+)
Microsoft have always wanted their console to be the one box in your living room and I think they may just manage it this time if they come up trumps a d deliver.
It was only a couple of years ago Sony fans were moaning that the Xbox didn't have a web browser and now we are looking at both new consoles having a fantastic array of Internet apps including streaming video, Skype video calls (whilst playing a game or watching video), sharing and social connectivity and much more.
The hardware on these new machines is very similar and about the best we as consumers could hope for. It's up to the devs to give us the games now.
