    Default Holiday websites

I'm after booking a 2 week holiday in July for 4 adults somewhere in the Caribbean or elsewhere exotic but I was wondering what websites people would recommend booking through? I've only ever booked holidays with a local travel agent before now and never trusted the faceless web with such a large amount of money. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Lee

I'm no expert as I haven't been on holiday for 5 years and am leaving Europe for the first time in my life in 2 weeks today (for Mexico ) but these sites are good:

Information and tips, should also offer advice on what protection to look for with the operator:

Stick with a local travel agent, you can check prices online and take them to your travel agent and ask them to beat them. The good thing about using a local travel agent is that if it rains all the time while you're on holiday you can go back to them and cave their heads in.

Flightcentre are great to haggle with, had some fantastic bargains off them recently, including a return flight on Emirates to Bangkok for £399 on one of their flash sales.
